No more Varicose Veins!
Well, here is my testimonial.
I have had varicose veins for as long as I can remember. I would go to the doctor every year for my physical, just to be told that there was nothing that could be done as the insurance would not cover the procedure. I was told to wear compression hose and take Tylenol. I did wear them on and off, but they were inconvenient and uncomfortable. out of desperation, I tried a few home remedies. Legs elevated against the wall before bed (until they went numb). And my personal favorite, Preparation H on them to shrink the blood vessels. Got that one from my friend's mom who is a do-it-yourselfer. I would not recommend this one. Then, I just gave up. I was having trouble sleeping at night because of the ache, and I would have pain during the day as well.
A friend recommended this wonderful place in Bend for this type of problem. All the way over for my consultation I kept telling myself how it would be a waste of time and money, as they would tell me the same thing others had and be blown off again. I was so shocked when I had that first appointment, it was so opposite of what I thought it would be. They were very caring, understanding and compassionate. I wish other medical providers would take lessons from Advanced Specialty Care, as they have A+ customer service. I got a call within a week saying that my insurance had approved the procedure and an appointment was scheduled. Needless to say my left leg is now done (feels 100% better) and I am now going to have my right leg done. I used to run about 8 years ago, but quit because of my legs. I then started walking instead, which yes, is good exercise, but not actually what I wanted to do. I miss running. After my surgeries are complete and I have the green light from the doctors, I am going to start running again with my 16 year old daughter who runs cross country. I am so excited. Then, I am going to wear dresses and shorts, something I haven't done since I can't remember when.
My 40th birthday was 2 weeks ago. What a perfect present! Thanks Advanced Specialty Care!!!!
