Dr. Diamond was raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Although his father was a prominent General, Vascular and Trauma surgeon, he initially received his BS degree in Civil Engineering and Operations Research at Princeton University. After several years of consulting work for various healthcare entities, he discovered his true calling with medicine. After graduating from the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in 1999, he trained in the General Surgery Residency program at Huntington Memorial Hospital/USC Keck School of Medicine in Pasadena, CA. After residency, he entered a Surgery practice in Eureka, CA where he practiced for 6 years. While there, he began a successful Bariatric Surgery Program. He offers a wide range of General and Bariatric surgery procedures, advanced Laparoscopic procedures and endoscopy. He enjoys a multitude of outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, skiing and biking.
