J. Mark Maddox, MD, FACS Surgeon
Dr. Mark Maddox was raised and educated in Tennessee. He received his medical degree from East Tennessee State University in 1997 and was trained in general surgery at Orlando Regional Healthcare System in Florida. In 2003, Dr. Maddox completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Connecticut’s St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He and his wife, Patricia moved to Bend where he joined Advanced Specialty Care.
Dr. Maddox is the director of Advanced Colon and Rectal Care. He has brought unique skills to Central Oregon in the treatment of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. These Include hemorrhoid stapling, treatment of fecal incontinence and constipation problems, colon and rectal cancer staging and treatment, in addition to inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
Dr. Maddox is a major in the United States Army Reserve and served in Iraq in 2004. He is an avid fly fisherman and enjoys skiing at Mt. Bachelor. |
